The next senior of the day was Zach. He was funny and shy in front of the camera. It’s great to photograph someone with a sense of humor who tries hold it back in pictures but it shows through anyways. Love when someone can be real in front of the camera. I’m sure I have embarrassed him now. Anyways. He’s also graduating from my high school alma mater and going to LA Tech in the fall. It was a packed Saturday with a newborn shoot and two seniors. But I was so pleasantly surprised at how laid back Breann was and only needed the slightest bit of encouragement to come out of her shell. It was a pleasure to take her senior pictures and I hope she enjoys her last few weeks of high school at my old high school Minden High. After an eventful start 2 weeks ago in the rain, I am very excited to show off some of her pictures. These were taken on her families farm down south. We had free roam of the land and wherever we went the cows and donkeys followed. As you can see in a few of the pics they really wanted to have their picture taken. There will be more but I couldn’t wait to show some of them. Kelsey is anticipating baby Cason’s arrival and so am I as I have bought a slew of baby boy props. the cold ones… ironic right

So another snow day in northeast Texas. I’m ready for green grass maybe some sun you know all the things I am used to shooting in. But I am getting pretty good at shooting in my ski gloves. Anyways just a couple from today as we only spent about 3o mins outside which was pretty much perfect. Lots more sessions coming in the next few weeks. And hopefully much nicer weather.

A Snow White Kinda Day

So I grabbed my camera while Ella was knee deep in snow. She wasn’t fond of stopping to allow me to photograph her so this is all I got. But we had fun! Eventually Ella told us her toes were dead and she needed to warm up. So we came inside and sat beside the fireplace letting our feet warm up. We made warm chocolate (bc eb doesn’t do hot things) hot dogs, and roasted marshmallows. Then back out we went.

This little one is my newest nephew. Henry was born at 29 weeks in July. I had to wait along time to take his newborn pictures. I was very patient. It was worth it at 3 months old he was great for me. I am so excited that this new little man is part of our family.

Sister {Texarkana Maternity Photographer}

So I did the unthinkable. I talked my sister into doing maternity pictures. I convinced her with stories of how I regretted not having it done and how it was hard to remember how I looked then. So she finally said yes. Reluctantly but I got her in the car and took her downtown. I promised her only 30 minutes so there aren’t alot of pics but enough. Anyways. Three days after this picture my sister had her baby boy. He was born at only 28 weeks old. He spent 7 weeks in the nicu before coming home. All is well now. Newborn pics of baby Henry to follow soon. Thanks Lesley for allowing me to take these pics.
